JED SNATIC, DDS

Dr. Jed Snatic has been in private practice for 15 years following his education at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. He is an active member of the Alberta Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, Calgary and District Dental Society and the POS ortho seminars. Dr. Snatic is married with three children and is a resident of Chestermere. He volunteered with Boxing Night at the lake, which raised money for the community recreation centre. Away from the office, he enjoys water sports, golfing and fishing.

WAYNE YOUNG, DDS
Location:  Monterey
Hours:  Monday – 8-3; Tuesday – 1-8; Wednesday – 8-4; Thursday – 8-4; Friday – 8-1
Dr. Young graduated in 1992 with Distinction from the University of Alberta. He was awarded the International College of Dentists Award in his third year of dental school and the Hugh McCutcheon award in his final year for finishing at the top in his class.  He is an active member in the Academy of General Dentistry, the Canadian Dental Association and the Calgary and District Dental Society.  Recently, Dr. Young has passed his USA National Board certification exams to be accredited in all of North America.

He has studied post doctorally at the coveted Las Vegas Institute for
Advanced Dental Studies and holds numerous certifications from the
institute.

Other areas of his continuing education include Force International and
Progressive Orthodontic Seminars, which help him to better treat his numerous orthodontic patients. Oral surgery is another area of special interest for Dr. Young.

Dr. Young’s other interests include sports and a rigorous and healthy
lifestyle. He is a member of the Dental Legislative Board, which actively
campaigns for better healthcare in the province of Alberta.

He is involved in numerous real estate developments and also has other non-medical interests. He traveled to the winter Olympics alongside the Olympic team to offer his support and friendship. Dr. Young is active in the community and has provided much support for Boxing Night at the lake for the recreation center.

MICHELLE CARLSON, DDS

A 1993 graduate of the University of Alberta, Dr. Michelle Carlson has been in practice for 13 years. She stays abreast of the latest advances in dentistry with memberships in the Canadian Dental Association, Alberta Dental Association and the Calgary and District Dental Society. Dr. Carlson and her husband have two children, and she enjoys golfing, sports and spending time with her family in her leisure time.

AMR KHAIRI, DDS

Hours:  Monday – 8-2; Tuesday and Wednesday – 1-8; Thursday – 8-2
After graduating from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg in 2000, Dr. Amr Khairi has been in practice for six years and is a member of the Alberta Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association and the Calgary and District Dental Society. Dr. Khairi has volunteered for the OPEN WIDE program with Cups, a not-for-profit dental service program for the underprivileged, and volunteered with Boxing Night at the lake and Stampede breakfast in Chestermere.

SANDRA ROMAN, DDS
Location:  Calgary Smiles

Hours:  Thursday – 11-8; Saturday – 8-4
Dr. Sandra Roman received her education in Bucharest, Romania and has maintained all the required continuing education courses. In practice for 24 years, Dr. Roman stays active in the dental community with memberships in the Alberta Dental Association, Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute and is the president and member of the Calgary and District Dental Society. She has been married for 24 years and enjoys classical music and cooking. She also volunteers dental services for CUPS, a not-for-profit dental service program for the underprivileged.

MARK VAILLANCOURT, DDS
Location:  Langdon
Hours:  Monday and Thursday – 1-8; Tuesday and Wednesday – 10-6
Dr. Mark Vaillancourt obtained a degree in occupational therapy from the University of Laval in Quebec City in 1986. Four years later, he earned his dental degree at the University of Montreal, where he was president of his class and a writer for the student journal. In practice since 1990, Dr. Vaillancourt is a member of the Canadian Dental Association, Calgary and District Dental Society, Alberta Dental Association and the POS ortho seminars. He is married with two children and is interested in construction, home renovations and photography. In the past, he volunteered with Boxing Night in Chestermere.

KIRPAUL S. CHATTHA, DDS

Hours:  Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday – 12-8
After graduating from the University of Saskatchewan in 2003, Dr. Kirpaul Chattha completed a one-year general practice residency there in 2004. In practice for three years, Dr. Chattha is a member of the Canadian Dental Association, Alberta Dental Association and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Chattha was recently married in April 2006 and is interested in mechanical work away from the office.

FRANCO DISCIGLIO, DENTURIST
Location:  Monterey

Hours:  Tuesday – 8-12; Thursday – 4-7
Dr. Franco Disciglio received his education from NAIT in Edmonton and has been in private practice since 1998. He is a member of the Alberta College of Denturists and the Denturist Society. Before becoming a dentist, he played professional hockey in Europe and was on the Canadian Championship Team. Dr. Disciglio also enjoys golfing in his spare time.

PAUL HENN, DDS

Dr. Paul Henn completed his dental education at the University of Alberta, where he earned his D.D.S. degree. Dr. Henn continues to advance his knowledge of the latest techniques in dentistry with membership in the Canadian Dental Association. He has been dedicated to the private practice of dentistry since 1997.

MELISSA MILLER, DDS

Dr. Melissa Miller graduated with honours from the University of Toronto.  She also holds a Masters degree in Medical Science from the University of Alberta.  She is an active member of the Alberta Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, and the Calgary and District Dental Society.  Dr. Miller lives in Calgary with her husband and enjoys cross country skiing in Canmore, and mountain biking.

RICHARD A. KRIM, B.Sc., D.D.S.
Dr Krim completed his training in 2001 at the University of Alberta. After graduation he practiced in the Edmonton area for three years. He was also asked to teach part time at the dental school for clinical and pre-clinical laboratories.

Dr Krim has been dedicated to advancing his knowledge and clinical abilities since the end of his formal training. The required amount of continuing education for dentists to obtain their licensing is 30 hours; however Dr Krim prides himself on taking an average of 120 hours each year to give optimum dental care to his patients of all ages. While expanding his skill and knowledge Dr Krim has attended some of the world’s most prestigious organizations for dentistry training in order to provide the best possible care. He has recently graduated from a two year clinical and didactic orthodontic training program with Progressive Orthodontic Seminars. Dr Krim is a member in good standing with both: The Canadian Dental Association and The Alberta Dental Association & College.

Outside of dentistry, Dr Krim’s hobbies include golf, squash, tennis and hockey. He also enjoys time with his wife Hye-Young, and his two young sons Anthony and Daniel.
